Spanish Key Stage 3

At this level, students normally start to be in contact with Spanish language. Our aims for Key Stage 3 is to encourage them to continue with the Spanish studies. They need to feel this language in a very positive way. Our activities and staff have tailored to achieve this objective as we create a total positive atmosphere so that we become their second home.

We can arrange an exchange with a Spanish school at Gredos Centre. We will put you in contact to know each other before coming to the Gredos Centre. This experience can be perfect for the students and also from an economic point of view, as you can get better discounts at the Centre with a bigger group.

Treasure hunt in the village

Treasure hunt in the village.
They need to follow different indications all around the village in order to win the price.
Interviews with locals.
Cookery course

The students learn spanish and nutrition through cooking.
They learn to prepare and taste typical Spanish recipes.
TV Programme

They have to develop a TV programme and the different sections: news, interviews, the weather, gossip programmes, etc.
We film them and watch it to analyse the results.
"Top model" parade

To prepare a top model parade involves describing and talking about what your colleagues are wearing and to perform a funny fashion show.
We film them to analyse the results.
Team building games

We are aware of the advantages of teamwork and why not in Spanish.
Creative workshops

Spanish traditional basket waving, painting T-shirts and creating face masks are some of the possibilities of creative workshops at GC.
Dance and aerobic

Keep fit with Spanish rhythms and practice very practical vocabulary in Spanish.
We can include 20/30 minutes taking exercise, stretching or dancing before breakfast everyday. We achieve two objectives: keeping fit and learning by repeating everyday the vocabulary necessary to do this activity.
Ecological walk

Learn the vocabulary related to the countryside by exploring this amazing area.
Multiadventure Park

Learn the equipment, verbs and expressions necessary to do this activity in Spanish.
Archery

Learn the equipment, verbs and expressions necessary to do this activity in Spanish.
Horseriding

Learn the equipment, verbs and expressions necessary to do this activity in Spanish.
Treasure hunt in Avila, Salamanca

Treasure hunt in the town/city. Explore the market, the cathedrals, the medieval university and... shopping !
Exchange with a Spanish school

Experience life in Spanish school for a day.
Mountain biking

Learn the bicycle components, nouns, verbs and expressions necessary to do this activity in Spanish.
Orienteering workshop

Learn how to read a map, use a compass and follow a route plan putting into practice their new acquire knowledge.
