Cross Curricular Programmes

We can offer a variety of topics covering disciplines involving Science, Geography, History, Economics, Physical Education. 

We agree with the idea that cross curricular activities break down the compartmentalisation of knowledge.   By involving students in developing topics which they have studied in other subjects they reinforce knowledge about the real world.

But, HOW DIFFICULT it is to have enough time to develop these activities in class!     An opportunity for these activities may arise simply out of class work.   A residential course environment creates the best opportunity to put into practice these enriching experiences.

Examples of topics we can offer are: river studies, energy, weathering & erosion, changing economies in the area, meteorology...

We would suggest that any school or college interested in Cross-curricular studies looks at the suggestions examples below, and also looks at the specific programmes for Biology and Geography. It should then be possible to mix elements.  If there is a specific area of study you are interested in which is not mentioned, please contact us as we may be able to adapt to your needs.

Also remember that Cross-Curricular programme can be combined with our outdoor pursuits activities (team building, archery, mountain biking, horse riding, etc.) to promote inclusion and diversity in education.
