Spanish GCSE / IGCSE

At this level, students normally continue contact with Spanish language. Our aim for Key Stage 4 is to encourage them to continue with their Spanish studies. They need to experience the language in a very positive way. Our staff have tailored acivities to achieve this objective, as we create a totally positive atmosphere, so that we become their second home.

What better way for young students to improve their language skills than to immerse them into a different cultural environment that is available just a few hours away.

We can arrange an exchange with a Spanish school at Gredos Centre. We will put you in contact in order to know each other before coming to the Gredos Centre. This experience can be perfect for the students and also is beneficial from an economic point of view, as you can get better discounts at the Centre with a bigger group.

Treasure hunt in the village

Treasure hunt in the village.
Follow different clues all around the village in order to win the prize.
Interviews with the locals.
Cookery course

The students learn Spanish and nutrition through cooking a traditional Spanish recipe.
They learn to prepare and taste typical Spanish recipes and eat the result for their evening meal!
TV Programme

Develop a TV programme and the different sections: news, interviews, the weather, gossip programmes, etc.
We film the students and analyse the results together.
"Top model" parade

To prepare a top model parade involves describing and talking about what your colleagues are wearing and to perform a fun fashion show.
We film the fashion show and analyse the results together.
Team building games

We are aware of the advantages of teamwork so why not work together in Spanish.
Horseriding

Learn the equipment, verbs and expressions necessary to do this activity in Spanish. And then get on your horse and ride!
Multiadventure Park

Creative workshops

Spanish traditional basket weaving, painting T-shirts and creating face masks are some of the possibilities for creative workshops at GC.

Exchange with a Spanish school

Experience life in Spanish school for a whole day.
Dance and aerobic

Keep fit with Spanish rhythms and practise very practical vocabulary in Spanish.
We can include 20/30 minutes taking exercise, stretching or dancing before breakfast everyday. We achieve three objectives: waking up, keeping fit and learning by repetition the vocabulary necessary to do this activity.
Ecological walk

Learn the vocabulary related to the countryside by exploring this amazing area.
Treasure hunt in Avila, Salamanca

Treasure hunt in the town/city. Explore the market, the cathedrals, the medieval university and... shopping !
Mountain biking

Learn the bicycle components, nouns, verbs and expressions necessary to do this activity in Spanish, then get on your bike.
Orienteering workshop

Learn how to read a map, use a compass and follow a route plan putting into practice your newly acquired knowledge.
