Our location
The Gredos Centre enjoys a privileged location for the organisation of field studies, adventure and cultural activities.
The GC ensures access to a range of superb teaching sites, which form the basis of a successful field trip. The field work programmes for Geography and Biology studies take place within 20km of the centre.
The diversity and easy access to the different sites is outstanding and unique to the GC.
The GC is located in a private estate of 40,000m2, where children can relax, practise sports and have fun, after the day’s activities. The rural village of Navarredonda de Gredos, with 350 inhabitants, is at a safe walking distance from the centre (1km), with cattle and horses grazing in the pastures alongside the small road to the village. Visits to the historic cities of Avila and Salamanca are within a very easy drive (1 hour for the former, 2 hours for the latter) from the GC.
Our safe and caring environment
The Gredos Centre offers a safe, secure and caring atmosphere, designed to create the best conditions to encourage learning.
Health and safety are central to our programmes. Please see our Health and Safety section. Obviously our easy access to all the field sites minimises risks.
Eating Healthy Food Aids Learning. We know the foods we eat everyday affect our health and ability to learn. This is the reason why we only cook with olive oil and bake our own cakes and biscuits. Our cooks make eating a pleasure - it’s part of who we are and part of our culture.
We are a small centre, with a maximum capacity of 50 students. Our family atmosphere, caring and professional service, and our attention to the detail, are exceptional.
Our staff
The Gredos Centre has a qualified team of teaching staff and activity leaders. The thing that really motivates us is the fun and enjoyment of sharing this unspoilt and spectacular region of Spain with you. The quality of our staff is the reason why many schools return year after year.

Since 1998 the Gredos Centre has been providing all the resources to make a success of every field trip , both in learning and in having fun. Our track record shows that each year we get new students from the same schools because teachers trust and value what we do.
